As Chief Technical and Innovation Officer, was previously responsible for driving innovation in the technologies we recommend to meet our clients’ ever more complex needs. Also provided leadership for all of CDM Smith's firm-wide knowledge management programs and technical aspects of strategic planning, including the Technical Council, technical disciplines, R&D, intellectual property, university liaisons, curricula for technical training, and lead practitioners.
As a remediation technology expert, developed and/or demonstrated a number of innovative site characterization and remediation technologies in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Holds six U.S. patents related to remediation of soil and groundwater. Senior technical reviewer for over 100 government, private, and international sites undergoing remediation or characterization and technology evaluations. Project manager or technical lead for several large-scale in situ remediation projects for a variety of clients, including DOE, DoD, USACE, EPA, USAID, various state agencies, and a number of industrial clients. Previously managed all remediation staff in CDM Smith's west-central region and led strategic planning for CDM Smith’s Environmental Remediation Division.
